Gil Scott-Heron dies at 62

Gil Scott-Heron has died. the cause of his death, yesterday afternoon, in a New York hospital, is not clear, though it seems he became sick upon returning from a European trip

the musician and poet was probably best known for his 1970’s work that included the hugely successful hit, The Bottle and the highly influential, The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

last year he released the critically acclaimed LP, I’m New Here. below are two music videos from that record, Me And The Devil and New York Is Killing Me, plus an audiovisual remix of New York Is Killing Me by Chris Cunningham
